It was cheaper for me to order my telescope from Australia than to buy it in Korea. If I had been able to order it in the US, I think it would have been even cheaper. However, Meade will not ship outside of the US. I ended up going through Asro-Optical Supplies, a Meade dealer, in Sydney:

Here’s the break down of the costs in getting the Meade LX90 to Seoul (roughly converted to Australian dollars to give an idea of costs):

I stands taller than an average guy when the tripod is fully extended

So, I made a saving of around $510 to $600, I’d say, depending on currency conversion. I hadn’t factored in the taxes being so high, but it’s still a nice little saving.
